I was super excited to visit her blog and read about her recipes and see all her links and ideas for organic and local living.  Plus, I think she must live somewhat near my old stomping ground (which I miss!)!

I am only writing this much because I feel like I need to make some sort of post.  Any post.  Even if it’s just to bitch about having nothing to write about.

We don’t have a typical relationship to begin with:  we met when we were fourteen and became fast friends.  I always enjoyed the company of males more than females, as they seemed less complicated in many ways.  Now that I am older, I appreciate the camaraderie of my female friends more than I ever imagined I would.  However, I still find my friendships with males to be less complicated.

Anyway…my BFF.  We spent a lot of time together through our high school years…and then drifted far apart.  Like twenty years apart.  We got back in touch several years ago and I fell easily back into our friendship.  It was all the same, all familiar.  We tried our hand at romance a couple of times through the years, but we were never on the same page at the same time.   So we settled back into a friendship that, because of distance, we maintained mostly by e-mail.

Now even that is drifting.  Although we may have gone for a length of time without corresponding, it never felt like our friendship was flailing.  I wrote a few weeks ago and got a very curt response with a promise for a follow-up note.  It never came.

Now I know some of you will say I should cut him some slack as the holidays are hectic.  I would agree except this feels different somehow.  More permanent.   So my feelings are hurt.

I guess sometimes we just need to know when to let go.  I’m not very good at that.

Tell me what you all use for facial care products.

I have always had fairly good skin.  While I have had pimples, I never really had acne, per se.  I tend to have oily skin – particularly in the T-zone so I use oil free cleansers and moisturizers.  Lately, my skin has been horible looking.

I know.  It’s my age catching up with me, but there must be something I can do.  I have red patches on my forhead and next to my nose.  I have patches of pimples on my jaw line – although they are not too visible, I can “feel” them when I run my fingers over my skin.  They also itch a little.  My skin is flaky dry on my cheeks and an oily mess on my nose and chin.  Help!

There are a lot of us in the store lately – you know, with the holidays and all.   A little consideration for your fellow shoppers is all I’m asking.   Perhaps moving your cart off to the side while you are looking at the Beer Can Chicken Cooker would be appreciated by most other folks trying to get around you and get to the important stuff – like haircolor.   Which I need to cover the gray casued by jackasses like you.

Dear teller at the bank,

You seriously pissed me off today and you were the start to the rest of my fantastical morning. (See above).

You know me.   You know my account has enough money to cover the check I was trying to cash.   You know I have cashed those types of checks every two weeks for as long as I’ve had an account with you and they HAVE NEVER NOT CLEARED.   Never.   Not once.   Why today did you decide that you would not cash it for me because “it’s not a local check”?   You knew I couldn’t really make a scene at the drive through window, so now I’m going to have to go back down there this afternoon when the lobby is open. After I’ve taken care of the gray which you have contributed to.
